Robata 燗 (KAN)
Bringing Japan’s robata tradition to the world, continuing its authentic spirit for Thai people.
With over 70 years of history, robata culture was born in Sendai in 1950 and has since spread across Japan.
Robata 燗 (KAN) inherits the essence of this original style of robatayaki, passing down Japan’s food culture and spirit of omotenashi to the modern age.
After developing multiple robata-style restaurants in Japan, we opened our first overseas location this year in Milan, Italy.
Our next stage is in the heart of Asia, Thailand.
We are committed to delivering Japan’s proud traditions of cuisine and culture to our guests in Thailand.

Preserving the Tradition of Robata’s Origins
The origins of Robata 燗 (KAN) trace back to 1950, when the very first robata restaurant was born in Sendai. Gathering around the irori (hearth) and grilling fresh seasonal ingredients over open flames has been loved by people for over 70 years.
Carrying on this spirit and craftsmanship into the modern era, Robata Kan operates multiple restaurants in Japan while also expanding overseas.
We offer more than just dining, we provide an authentic cultural experience rooted in tradition.

A Live Japanese Experience for All Five Senses
The greatest charm of Robata 燗 (KAN) is that dining itself becomes entertainment. Guests can witness the excitement as chefs skillfully handle the flames, grilling fresh fish, vegetables, and meats right before their eyes. Rising smoke, the savory aroma, the crackling sound of ingredients cooking, and the rich flavor of freshly steamed rice, all combine to create a multisensory robata experience unlike anything offered at other restaurants.
The World of Japanese Aesthetics and Sake
The interior of Robata 燗 (KAN) is designed with Japanese aesthetics in mind, featuring antique furniture and warm vintage lamps. For Japanese guests, it offers a sense of nostalgia; for international guests, it provides a genuine experience of Japanese culture.
To complement the cuisine, we serve carefully curated varieties of sake, handpicked by a professional sake sommelier. Our specialty nurukan (warm sake), gently heated in a custom-made copper vessel, pairs exceptionally well with robata dishes, elevating the flavors even further.
At Robata 燗 (KAN), cuisine, atmosphere, and sake come together to create a holistic dining experience that defines our brand.
